Kobe and Lebron Nike Puppet Commercialsvoice

The folks at Nike are at it again!!!    This time they reinvent Kobe Bryant and Lebron James as Muppet-Like puppets. Kobe comes off like an old man while Lebron comes off like a 10 year old kid.  The commercials are very funny, but i can’t see how Kobe or Lebron could approve of the way they are portrayed in these commercials.  TheNBA league office must have had to sign off of these ads.  Here are all the ads in one spot.

Many folks have been asking who created the Kobe/Lebron Most Valuable Puppet Ads for Nike.

The PuppetVision Blog had some information available.

It appears that the puppets in the ads were created by Legacy Effects and the voice of Kobe Bryant was done by former “In Living Color” actor David Allen Grier.  Lebron James’ voice was performed by SNL’s Keenan Thompson. It has been reported that the voice of Little Desmond (Lil’ Dez) is performed by Role Models  actor Bobb’e J. Thompson

I am still trying to find more information on the ad agency that created the ads.

Kobe/Shaq NBA Fear Commercial – Playoffs 2008

It looks like the playoff hype is in full effect. The NBA released a commercial that features Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O’neil delivering the same monologue. The NBA playoffs being on April 19th.
Is the NBA predicting a Lakers vs. Suns playoff. I think that David Stern’s dream may come true this year if the Suns’ Shaq and Nash can make a push towards the end of the season.

Death Threat Elmo…fun for the entire family

Some people think that Chucky, that evil doll form the Child’s Play movies, was an evil son of a gun. When one family decided to go and buy their young son James a new toy, they decided that Elmo was a safe choice. They were dead wrong…or should I say death threat wrong. This Elmo connects to the internet to learn phrases and the child’s name. When sweet and cuddly little Elmo’s batteries were changed, he turned into homicidal Elmo. Elmo kept on repeating the phase Kill James. Poor little James got a voucher for a new Elmo doll from Fisher Price.
